Dr. Kassie Lindamood Smith is a flutist and educator whose work encompasses performance, teaching, and scholarship. She is a member of the music faculty at Eastern New Mexico University, where she teaches applied flute and rock and roll, and maintains an active private studio. She has also taught applied flute and chamber music at Texas Tech University and regularly presents masterclasses and clinics at universities and public schools. She serves on the artist faculty of the InterHarmony International Music Festival in Acqui Terme, Italy, and as a regional representative for the New Mexico Flute Association.

As a performer, Lindamood Smith has appeared with ensembles including the Southwest Symphony Orchestra, Roswell Symphony Orchestra, Lubbock Symphony Orchestra, and Lubbock Chamber Orchestra. She has performed as principal flute on international tours to Mexico City and Xalapa, Mexico, and currently serves on the sublist of the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra. In 2024, she was featured as a soloist on the GRAMMY-nominated recording Star Wars Outlaws by composer Wilbert Roget II. Her performances have also been presented at national and international conferences and festivals, including the National Flute Association Convention, College Music Society Conferences, and the Texas Music Educators Association Convention.

Lindamood Smith earned her Doctor of Musical Arts in Flute Performance from Texas Tech University, where she studied with Dr. Lisa Garner Santa. Her doctoral research focused on the piccolo works of American composer Amanda Harberg. She also holds a Master of Music degree from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor of Music degree from Oklahoma State University. Her honors include the Texas Tech University Friends of Music Award for Excellence in Graduate Woodwinds and recognition as a National Finalist in The American Prize.
